Get riding for less with zero up-front costs
Looking for a smarter way to buy your next bike? With Cyclescheme, you can save between 25% and 39% on a new ride — and spread the cost, interest-free. Whether it’s a road bike, commuter, gravel, or e-bike, Cadence Performance makes it easy to get rolling without the big hit to your wallet.
How it works
Cyclescheme is a government-approved employee benefit that lets you get a new bike and kit through your employer via salary sacrifice. Instead of paying upfront, the cost is taken from your gross salary before tax — meaning you’ll pay less Income Tax and National Insurance.
It’s simple, flexible, and open to most employees. There’s no credit check, and if you’re under 18, you can still take part with a guardian as guarantor. Even if you’re on probation, you may still qualify — just check with your employer.
“Think of it as the easiest way to make cycling part of your daily routine — while keeping more money in your pocket.”
What can you buy?
Almost anything that makes your ride better — bikes, clothing, accessories, lights, helmets, and safety gear. If it helps you stay dry, comfortable, or safe on the road, it’s included.
Most employers choose not to limit the order value with Cyclescheme. This means you can browse a wide range of bikes, including e-bikes, and pair them with a number of complementary accessories. Please check with your employer for any order value limit before applying for your certificate.
How to get started
- Request your Cyclescheme certificate through your employer.

What can I buy with Cyclescheme?
Cyclescheme allows you to purchase any bike through your monthly salary sacrifice. The payments are taken directly from your gross salary, meaning you don’t pay any tax, National Insurance, or interest fees.
Do I have to ride to work every day?
You should use the bike and/or accessories mainly for commuting to and, if relevant, between workplaces. At least 50% of the bike’s use should be for work purposes. For example, if you used the bike 10 times in a year, at least five of those journeys must be work-related. The rest can be for leisure or everyday travel.
Ready to ride?
With no deposit, no interest, and big savings, there’s never been a better time to get the bike you’ve been dreaming of.
